Week 1 is
almost here. Are you excited? Only one more sleep to go…..
Just a
couple of reminders:
· On Monday morning, go to the office
and Mr Macmillan will bring you over to our class. (The office opens at 8:30 every morning).
· Please ensure that all clothing is named
– especially sunhats. These are
compulsory in terms 1 and 4. It is very
easy for hats to get muddled up. Putting
your child’s name in vivid on the inside brim works well. New sandals can be tricky to do up. Having a practise at home with the buckles is
always a great idea.
· Swimming will begin in week 2. We are very fortunate that we have a lovely
heated pool where the water temperature is 30 degrees.
Rosary – Wednesday morning October is the
month of the Rosary - it is to honour Mary. Each Wednesday morning we will be
starting our day by saying a decade of the Rosary as a school. Senior school
will start us off this week with the Rosary. What is a Rosary you may wonder...and what is
the meaning of the rosary beads? The meaning of the Rosary is simply a Catholic
prayer based upon the Bible that focuses on the events in the life of Jesus and
that of Mary the Mother of Jesus. The Rosary Beads are designed so we pray
certain prayers at a particular pace.
Working Bee – On Saturday,
28th October we are having a Working Bee at school. The day starts at 8.00am
and children are invited to come too. Morning tea and a BBQ lunch will be
provided. This is a great way to meet other parents.
See you all
tomorrow
Mrs Groves
