Week 8

Week 8  I will try to keep to our routines as much as possible this week.  Week 9 is going to be very busy with lots going on!

Portfolios  The children took their portfolios home on Friday.  These are yours to keep.  Please take the time to go through them with your child.  The last page, ‘two starts and a wish’ is for you to celebrate two things the children have done really well, and one thing they might like to keep working on next year.  This term, it is fine to celebrate a social/settling into school achievement for one of their stars.  If you think back to their pre-school visits, the children have come a long way in just 7 short weeks.  Assemblies, bell times, mat time, getting change for swimming etc were all new for the children not so long ago.

Sorry, but the children who have just started in the last week or two, do not have a portfolio this year. They can look forward to their first portfolio next year.  If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to pop and see me.

Swimming  Yes, we are swimming this week 😊

Drink bottles Now that the weather is getting warmer, it is a good idea to send your child to school with their own drink bottle of water.

Big Day Out – Thursday 7 December The weather is looking good for Thursday. Please put sunscreen on your child before school.  I am still waiting on a couple of permission slips to come back.  Please, we do need these back.  Thanks again to those parents who have offered to help.  Parents please bring your togs as we will need parents in the water, supervising the children.   It should be a great day.
