Pre-school Visit - 'J' is for Jelly

The children were really looking forward to making jelly today.  We had been learning about the letter j earlier in the week.  The children all waited patiently until it was their turn to have a stir.  We talked about how the jelly crystals were a solid, and as we stirred the hot water (a liquid) and the jelly crystals together, the jelly crystals dissolved.   I  knew we wouldn't be able to wait for our jelly to set, so we exchanged our freshly made jelly, for some I had made last night.  After setting in the fridge, the jelly had turned from a liquid to a solid.  Our green and red jelly tasted great!

This was a lovely way to end our pre-school visits.  Joshua, our last visitor, will be starting in our class next week.
